Love Without Borders

Nov 2, 2025    Joel McGarvey

When Jesus told the story of the Good Samaritan, He showed a love that reached across cultural, social, and religious lines. It wasn’t about ignoring laws or order—it was about a heart that refuses to limit compassion.

As followers of Christ, we are called to love without borders—not by disregarding the laws of our land, but by refusing to let fear, prejudice, or convenience draw lines around who we care for. God’s hospitality toward us in Jesus breaks down barriers of hostility and welcomes us into His family, and that same love moves us to act with mercy within the world He’s placed us in.

This Sunday, we’ll look again at the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37) and what it teaches us about God’s heart of hospitality.

Jesus calls us to show love without borders—a love that crosses cultural and social divides, but still honors truth and integrity.

God’s love for us knows no prejudice, and His welcome invites us to love others with that same compassion.
