Learning from the Life of Hannah

This Sunday at Twin Valley Alliance Church, we will be taking a one-week pause from our sermon series Friend of God: Learning Faith from Abraham for a special Mother’s Day message.

Our message will come from 1 Samuel 1:1–20, where we will look at the life and example of Hannah, the mother of Samuel.

Hannah’s story reminds us that faith is not always quiet, easy, or painless. Sometimes faith comes with tears. Sometimes faith waits. Sometimes faith prays when the heart is heavy and the answer has not yet come.

But Hannah placed her deepest burden in the hands of a faithful God.

This Mother’s Day, we will be reminded that God sees the unseen tears, hears the prayers of a burdened heart, and is faithful with everything we surrender to Him.

Whether Mother’s Day is filled with joy, grief, gratitude, longing, or mixed emotions, this message will point us to the God who is faithful in every season.
