Happy 4th of July From Twin Valley Alliance Church

Today we pause and thank God for the many freedoms we enjoy in this nation — the freedom to worship, the freedom to gather, the freedom to speak, the freedom to pray, and the freedom to live out our faith openly.

We are grateful for the sacrifices made by so many throughout our nation’s history, and we remember that the founding fathers understood that liberty was not something to take lightly. Freedom is a gift, but it also comes with responsibility. It is not only about celebration, fireworks, cookouts, and flags — as wonderful as those things are — it is about remembering the cost of freedom and using that freedom in a way that honors God.
As Americans, we are blessed with many earthly freedoms. But as Christians, we know there is an even greater freedom — the freedom found in Jesus Christ.
The cross reminds us that our deepest bondage was not political, social, or earthly — it was sin. And Jesus came to set us free.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

— John 8:36

True freedom is not just the ability to do whatever we want. True freedom is being forgiven, redeemed, restored, and made new through Christ. The freedom won for us at the cross is eternal, unshakable, and available to all who place their faith in Him.

So today, as we celebrate our nation’s independence, may we also remember the greatest freedom of all — the freedom purchased by the blood of Jesus.

From all of us at Twin Valley Alliance Church, we wish you a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered 4th of July.

God bless you, and may God continue to turn our hearts back to Him.
