As we begin our new series, Who We Are, we’re exploring what it means for us to be part of a “Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family.”

We begin where everything must begin—with Jesus.

In Colossians 1:15–23, Paul gives us a powerful picture of the supremacy of Christ. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, the head of the Church, and the One through whom God has reconciled us to Himself.

Being Christ-centered means more than including Jesus in what we do. It means that Christ is at the center of everything—our worship, our relationships, our decisions, our ministries, our mission, and our identity as His Church.

Before we can understand who we are, we must first remember who Jesus is.
