The Power of Forgiveness

Frank Yost

Paul’s letter to Philemon gives us a deeply personal picture of what the Gospel looks like when it enters our relationships.

Onesimus had once been separated from Philemon, but through Christ everything had changed. Paul now appeals to Philemon to receive Onesimus not merely according to his past, but as a beloved brother in Christ.

The Gospel does more than reconcile sinners to God. It changes how believers see, forgive, receive, and relate to one another.

In this message, guest speaker Frank Yost of Williamstown, a former pastor and Christian school Bible teacher, leads us through Paul’s letter to Philemon and the biblical themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, grace, intercession, and restoration.

As people who have been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, we have also been entrusted with a ministry of reconciliation.

How should the grace we have received from Christ affect the grace we extend to others?

Join us as we discover how the Gospel has the power to transform not only individual hearts, but even the most difficult and broken relationships.
