Friend of God: Strangers and Foreigners

In Genesis 23, Abraham experiences the painful loss of his wife, Sarah. Scripture tells us that Abraham mourned and wept for her, reminding us that grief is a real part of life in this broken world.
But Abraham also understood that he was a stranger and a foreigner in the land. His hope was not ultimately rooted in this world, but in the promises of God.
This message reminds us that when we live with eternity in view, it changes our perspective on both life and death. Faith does not remove the pain of loss, but it gives us hope beyond the grave and reminds us that this world is not our home.
